About the author…
Greetings from my very suboptimal corner of Eastern Europe!
I am Eugene “LastofAvari”. The nickname is a reference to J. R. R. Tolkien’s Middle-Earth and one of its elven races. I go by this pseudonym pretty much everywhere online.
These days, I’m focusing on reviewing various small indie games for Pico-8 virtual console, retro gaming systems and modern computers. If you are a developer working on something like that — let me know! ;)
… and the website
This website is a home for my various “projects” and links to other Avarian online places. The original website was coded by hand in PSPad with some graphics, put together in GIMP. These days it’s running on WordPress.
It turned out to be a perfect place to host TL;DW write-ups of Pico-8 Adventures — my video series covering a fun square world of tiny retro-vibe indie games on YouTube.
Socials:
I do have pages on Mastodon and Threads, but the best place to visit for updates on my retro-vibe indie game coverage is BlueSky. Naturally, you can subscibe to the YouTube channel where these videos are being released on weekly-ish basis.
